Amidst the India-China border problem, there have been shreds of evidence being discovered that China is illegally performing something to overcome the reputation of the country.
Fishermen from Tamil Nadu deemed they had spotted a barrel of "refined tea" in their fishing net, however, it turned out to be crystal meth worth Rs 100 crore.
The Mamallapuram fishermen broke open the barrel which had many green sachets of refined tea with Mandarin and English markings. On opening the packs, they saw white powder inside them, then they informed it to the police.
Police seized 78 kilograms of the thing and gave it for analysis, and discovered out that the powder inside the packs is crystal methamphetamine.
Police doubt that the barrel was a part of a consignment that docked along the coast by drug smugglers serving in southeast Asian nations.
These occurrences confirm that the worldwide drug market has not been decreased despite the COVID-19 situation.
