China is ready for war amid coronavirus pandemic, says Xi Jinping
One more difficulty has been added to the government of India as the Chinese government has started expanding its army troops in the disputed border region.
Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday ordered China’s armed forces to strengthen the number of troops along the 3,488km of the disputed national border and to be ready for war amid coronavirus pandemic. Two days back, China’s top diplomat Wang Yi, heavily criticised the works of some US politicians to build rumours and sentence China to charge it for the pandemic.
Both armies are said to have expanded further troops in sensitive regions along the border with specialists predicting a long standoff.
Xi Jinping said that the armed troops should explore new ways of training, despite the pandemic. Xi Jinping also said to the state media that this epidemic prevention and control struggle is a practical examination for national defence and military reform, fully embodies the effectiveness of the reform, and also puts forward new demands for reform.
Zhao Ligian, Chinese military spokesperson said clearly on Tuesday that a fair and constant improvement in the nation’s defence expenditure is correct, fit, and important.
It was stated last week that China has set its yearly defence budget increase target at 6.6%, as compared to 7.5% last year. China has both economic and military expansion in mind and national defence should be improved in coordination with economic development, said Wu Qian, PLA spokesperson. Wu also attached that Beijing’s homeland protection and overseas interests are also facing some original threats.
